SHALL WE RETREAT?
Refresh, rejuvenate and reset with this beautiful retreat by the sea
Join me from 2nd-5th June this Summer for a long weekend yoga retreat in the beautiful and luxurious setting that is Glandŵr House – situated in the tiny seaside village of Tresaith, West Wales, just a stone’s throw away from the beach.
During the four days we’re together, you’ll get the time and space you need to decompress as well as the opportunity to grow your practice and connect more deeply with yourself. Let the fresh sea air revitalise you, the nourishing food replenish you, and the nurturing yoga restore you.
What to expect
Numbers are kept to a minimum for this break (max 9 people), making it an intimate environment where I can better cater for your individual needs.
During the retreat, I’ll be sharing a collection of hatha and yin practices, alongside optional complementary workshops that dig a little deeper into the yoga tradition. We’ll begin each day with time for meditation and reflection and then structure our practices as suits the day – the morning practices will be more energetic, but we’ll close each evening with a luxurious opportunity to wind down in yin. All levels are welcome but do get in touch with any concerns around health or movement beforehand.
You’ll have free time too of course, and you’re not obligated to participate in all of the classes – though it is highly recommended! Within the vicinity there are many walks – whether through the woodland and within the grounds, or along the coastal path towards New Quay or Aberporth – and the last time we stayed at Tresaith, the group also enjoyed a swim in the sea and an afternoon trip out to New Quay.
For an example schedule, check out this timetable from 2019.
Set in Tresaith and overlooking Cardigan Bay, Glandŵr House is a Grade II listed, 200 year-old Georgian house that’s nestled in five acres of secluded gardens and woodland, near the bubbling river Saith and within walking distance of the sea.
Rooms are stylish and comfortable with modern bathrooms that let in lots of natural light through beautiful glass ceilings. The kitchen/dining area is large and welcoming, again with lots of natural light, and there are two lounge areas where you can relax and chat or immerse yourself in your favourite book. There’s additionally an outside decking area where, weather permitting, you might even enjoy a sit in the sun!
You can expect to eat very well while you’re here, with a vegetarian menu of home-cooked delicious and healthy food. You’ll leave the retreat feeling well and truly nourished – with lots of new recipes (like this wonderful pea and mint soup) to take home too! Other diets (vegan/gluten-free etc.) can be accommodated – just let me know when you book.
