SHALL WE RETREAT?
Refresh, rejuvenate and reset with a September retreat by the sea
Join me from 23rd to 26th September for this long weekend yoga retreat at Caradoc – a wonderful and welcoming location on the beautiful Cornish coast that holds a special place in my heart as it’s where I myself retreated as I graduated my initial teacher training!
During the four days we’re together, I’ll be sharing my knowledge with you and providing you with the time and space you need to decompress, alongside plenty of opportunity to grow your practice and connect in deeply with yourself. Let the fresh sea air revitalise you, the nourishing food replenish you, and the nurturing yoga restore you.
What to expect
Numbers on retreat are always kept low to ensure that I’m able to best support all participants and, at this venue, that means 12 people maximum.
The sessions during this retreat will reflect what we do week-to-week and be a combination of hatha, yin and somatic movement practices with journalling opportunities too. All levels are welcome but do get in touch with any concerns around health or movement beforehand.
You’ll have free time too of course and we’ll be within walking distance of the sea with fantastic coastal paths to peruse too (you might even find the local pub for a cream tea!).
For an example schedule, check out this timetable from 2019 but please do take this as a guideline only – things will be different this time around.
Caradoc is a collection of Grade II listed and converted farm buildings set around a very private, grassy courtyard with west-facing terraces and gardens that provide incredible views over one of the wildest and least developed parts of the Cornish coast. Surrounded by 250 acres of farmland and set in a hamlet that includes just two other properties, Caradoc provides absolute tranquillity and calm.
Bedrooms are cosy and comfortable, often with beamed ceilings, and most have their own bathroom too. There’s also the economical option of staying in one of the simple outside ‘pods’ which, with their design of wood and dark sanded roof tiles, merge into the landscape and offer superb views.
The shared spaces include a number of sitting areas with wood-burning stoves and all meals are taken together in the main farmhouse’s open kitchen and drawing room, which has wonderful westerly views.
You can expect to eat very well while you’re here, with a vegetarian/vegan menu of home-cooked delicious and healthy food. You’ll leave the retreat feeling well and truly nourished – most likely with lots of new recipes to take home too! Other diets (gluten-free etc.) can be accommodated – just let me know when you book.
Rooms and prices
A selection of rooms are available and include 3 nights accommodation, all food and all yoga sessions (any treatments booked are paid for directly to the therapist). Shared occupancy isn’t totally ruled out but you would need to book the room as a pair (contact me directly for prices on this).
Availability is as follows:
- 1x single occupancy large super king room with sea view – £720 (£870 for a couple)
- 4x single occupancy double room – £650 (£800 for a couple)
- 1x single occupancy twin room – £600
- 1x single occupancy double pod – £500
Given the proximity of the dates for this retreat, full payment would be required on booking. To secure your space, please just contact me and I’ll be in touch to confirm.
Please note that it is highly recommended you take out insurance for the retreat, just as you would for a holiday. For full terms and conditions of booking a retreat, please see here.
How to get there
As we get closer to the date I’ll start to put people in touch so you can arrange lift shares to and from the venue as desired. Caradoc is located 1 hour from Exeter, and 3 hours from Cardiff. For satnav, the postcode is PL33 9ED
